No reception queue, no ringing round, no club membership card. That's not luck. It's because almost every padel court in Manchester runs through the same booking app, so once you've done it at one venue you can do it anywhere.

One app runs almost the entire city

Book a court, step by step
- Download Playtomic from the App Store or Google Play, or open it in a browser.
- Set your location to Manchester and search, or type the club name if you already know where you're playing.
- Pick a date and time. You get a live grid of courts, with booked slots greyed out.
- Select your slot and check the price. Some clubs show the full court price, others split it per player automatically.

Peak vs off-peak: play smart, pay less
Like any sports facility, Manchester clubs charge more at busy times. Peak is roughly weekday evenings from 5pm and most of the weekend. Off-peak is weekday daytime, when courts are quiet and prices drop.
The gap is real. One city venue has been quoted at around £36 an hour off-peak against £42 peak, and most others follow the same shape. Swap 7pm on a Saturday for 10am on a Tuesday and you'll usually pay noticeably less a head. Always check the live price in the app before you confirm, because rates move and vary by venue. Short a player? Use open matches
Padel is doubles, so turning up two short is the classic problem. Playtomic's Open Match feature fixes it.
