Billed as Greater Manchester's own padel league, run in quarterly seasons with matches across the 0161 area. It uses promotion and relegation with a ranking table, so results carry over season to season. Pairs register for £50, and scheduling is flexible, meaning you arrange games with your opponents rather than turning up to one fixed slot each week. Powerleague padel leagues
Powerleague run structured leagues out of their Manchester site at Nicholls, Ardwick. One format we have seen: five weeks of matches, 90 minutes each, one evening a week, three sets with a tiebreak at 6-6. An Improver league (level 1.5 to 2.5) ran at £170 a team for all five matches, with new balls each week and prizes for the winners. Leagues run in blocks rather than continuously, sign-up is through the Playtomic app, and they will help pair you with a partner if you do not have one. Dates change, so check what is running now rather than treating this as live.
Socials, americanos and drop-in nights
No table, no relegation, just rotating doubles and a decent standard of banter. Coverage is patchy and mostly lives on Instagram rather than a proper listings page, so treat this as a starting point and follow venues direct for what is on this month. Our events page gathers the ones we can confirm.
Soul Padel, Stockport
The most developed social programme we found in the region. Named formats include Early Bird sessions, Soul Sisters (women's), Soul Timers and weekend mixers, all rotating doubles over two hours, all levels welcome. They also run americano tournaments and Beginner Guided Games with coach support. On top sits the Soul Circuit League, a four-division competitive league for up to 128 players backed by Cupra Stockport, which they say drops every few months. Days, times and prices are not published in one place, so check their Instagram or Let's Play page before planning round it.
Manchester Padel Club, Heald Green
They mention beginner drop-in sessions alongside bookable group coaching, but no fixed weekly social night is confirmed publicly. Worth a direct call if a regular beginner session is what you are after, and you can see who coaches there on our coaches page.
Pure Padel, Cheetham Hill
Describe themselves as a hub for the city's padel community and reference social events and tournaments, but without a published fixed schedule. They have hosted one-off collaborations before, which points to occasional rather than weekly socials. Best checked via Instagram or a call to the club.
The Padel Club Trafford City, and The Pollen Club, Deansgate
Both active, well-reviewed venues, but neither publishes a standing weekly social or league that we could verify. The Pollen Club's events lean towards private and corporate bookings rather than open drop-in sessions.
The Northern, West Didsbury
Courts book through Playtomic at £4.50 per person an hour. No organised social or league is confirmed on their site, and it is a members' club by nature, so ask at reception whether non-members can join an open night.
