The lowdown

Soul Padel sits right beside the Decathlon on George's Road and it's come a long way fast, starting as a temporary two-court site in 2024 before the permanent six-court club opened in June 2025. The community side is the real character here: regular women's sessions under the Soul Sisters banner, a more relaxed Soul Timers slot for older players, and a loyalty scheme that gives something back if you play often.

You get four courts under a permanent canopy and two open-top outdoor ones, all quick-playing surfaces that reviewers reckon make for entertaining rallies. The two open-top courts are at the mercy of the weather, so if the forecast's bad, book a covered one. There's a licensed bar and clubhouse to sit in before or after, which is what nudges this above a straight box of courts.

Pricing is among the friendliest in the area: covered courts around £30 off-peak and £40 peak, outdoor ones £24 off-peak and £36 peak, with racket hire about £2.50 if you're travelling light. Booking is through Playtomic and there's three hours free at the Decathlon car park next door. Complete beginners are well covered by the Learn to Play programme, and there are junior and youth sessions too, so it works for the whole family.

The courts

Six courts in total: four under a permanent canopy and two open-top outdoor courts, all described as quick-playing. There are no fully enclosed indoor courts, so weather can affect the two open-top ones, and the surface type isn't confirmed.

Prices and booking

Reported by a June 2025 Proper Padel review as covered courts at £30 an hour off-peak and £40 peak, and outdoor courts at £24 off-peak and £36 peak, with racket hire around £2.50. Booking is via Playtomic. Prices move around and vary by day and time, so check the live rate before you turn up.

Is Soul Padel Stockport indoor? No, it's covered rather than fully indoor: four courts sit under a permanent canopy and two are open-top, so the outdoor courts can be affected by weather.
Is there parking?Yes, three hours' free parking at the adjacent Decathlon store.
Can beginners book a court?Yes, the club runs a Learn to Play coaching programme alongside junior and youth sessions, so it's set up for people starting from scratch.
